Work Readiness & Effectiveness

The soft skills gap is troubling. Studies show that the majority of corporate and academic respondents feel their new recruits and students are prepared with hard skills. However more than 40 percent of corporations and almost 50 percent of academic institutions say new hires lack the soft skills to perform at a high level in a professional environment. Yet most higher education programs don't do enough to teach these competencies to their students.

Timshel’s goal is to equip students and young professionals with the mindsets that will help them be successful in a professional environment. We do this using a process of experiential learning in which students have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of their inner self and the impact that they have on others, i.e., outer self. Through this process of introspection and exploration they are able to gain a better appreciation and insight of what it takes to be successful in the world of business.
